Friday, Day 1:  Arrive in Tel Aviv and embark on the 10 day Classic Israel Tour

  • Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv
  • You will be met by a Heritage Israel Tour representative and transferred to your hotel for check in.

Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Saturday Day 2 –  Leisure Day

  • Following breakfast, enjoy the day in Tel Aviv at leisure.

Sunday Day 3 – Caesarea /Megiddo/ Druze village/Haifa             

  • Following breakfast, we will journey along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region.
  • Moreover, see the excavations of the Crusaders city and the Roman port, aqueduct and amphitheater recently restored.
  • Moving on to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; visit the archaeological excavations.
  • Furthermore, continue to Daliat-el-Carmel, a Druze village and enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant.
  • To conclude, proceed via Mount Carmel to Haifa for a panoramic view of the Haifa bay and the golden domed 13 day classic israel tourBahai gardens.

Monday Day 4 – Safed / Golan Heights/Winery

  • Following breakfast, a scenic drive to Safed, the center of Jewish mysticism; Visit the ancient synagogues and the artists’ colony.
  • Continue to the Golan Heights to see the former Syrian bunkers, Kuneitra and the new Israeli town of Katzrin.
  • In addition, stop at the Golan Winery for a tour and wine tasting

Tuesday Day 5 – Sea of Galilee / Nazareth

  • Following breakfast, we begin the day with a visit to Nazareth to visit the Church of Annunciation.
  • Furthermore, continue to Tiberias; Visit Capernaum to see the ruins of the synagogue and octagonal Church of St. Peter
  • In addition, visit Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the sermon on the mount.
  • To conclude the day, drive via Beit Shean to Beit Alpha to see the remains of the mosaic floor of an ancient synagogue.

Wednesday Day 6 – Jerusalem: the Old City

  • Following breakfast, start the day with a magnificent panoramic view from Mount of Olives.
  • Drive to the Old City; Visit the Tomb of King David and the Room of Last Supper on Mt. Zion.Jerusalem, Israel
  • In addition, enter the walled city and walk through the newly restored Jewish quarter.
  • Visit the Roman Cardo, the Herodian quarter and continue to the Western Wall.
  • Moreover, walk along the Via Delarosa to the Church of Holy Sepulchre.
  • To conclude, continue to Bethlehem to view Rachel’s tomb and proceed to the Church of Nativity and Manger’s Square.

Thursday Day 7 – Jerusalem: the New City

  • Following breakfast, drive to the Israel Museum. Here will will visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed, and a miniature model of Jerusalem is on display.
  • Proceed for a tour at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament.
  • Continue to visit Mount Hertzel cemetery and Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust.
  • In addition, experience Mea Shearim, the ultra orthodox neighborhood in Jerusalem and learn about their unique lifestyle.
  • Moreover, in the evening enjoy dinner followed by the spectacular “Sound & Light” show** at the Tower of David Museum.

Friday Day 8 – Qumeran / Massada / Dead Sea

  • Following breakfast, drive through the Judean desert towards the Dead Sea.
  • The lowest point on earth, almost 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level.
  • Moving on towards Qumeran to visit the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found.
  • Furthermore, drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada.
  • In addition, ascend by cable car and tour the ancient fortress where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans.
  • To conclude the day, descend by cable car and head to the Dead Sea for a swim (cover yourself with the mineral rich mud and float on the water).

Saturday Day 9 – Leisure Day in Jerusalem

  • Following a shabbat style breakfast, enjoy the day at leisure in Jerusalem.

Sunday, Day 10: Departure  home from Jerusalem / Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport

  • Last breakfast in Israel. To conclude, we will transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for departure back home with lifelong memories.
